1. Will my switch recognize an ATL Optics transceiver?

Yes. ATL Optics modules are programmed to emulate the EEPROM and identification information required by supported OEM platforms. Every compatible module is validated before shipment to ensure plug-and-play recognition.

2. Will DOM/DDM monitoring work?

In most supported platforms, Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM/DDM) functions operate normally, allowing administrators to monitor optical power, temperature, voltage, laser bias current, and other diagnostics, subject to host platform capabilities.

3. Do you support Smart Licensing or OEM licensing features?

ATL Optics compatibility is focused on hardware interoperability. Licensing features remain controlled by the OEM operating system and licensing model. Our modules do not bypass or modify vendor licensing policies.

4. Can ATL Optics modules be reprogrammed?

Yes. Many product families can be factory-programmed for specific OEM compatibility profiles. Contact ATL Optics if you require a different coding profile or custom compatibility.

5. Will using third-party optics void my switch warranty?

Warranty policies vary by manufacturer. In most jurisdictions, the use of compatible optics alone does not automatically void the warranty. However, OEM service policies may differ. Customers should review the OEM warranty terms.

6. What if my switch rejects the module?

Our technical team will help verify firmware version, port configuration, compatibility profile, and diagnostics. If required, we can provide replacement coding or alternative compatibility options.

7. Can you create custom compatibility profiles?

Yes. ATL Optics supports custom EEPROM coding and compatibility validation for enterprise, data center, telecom, industrial, and broadcast applications when technically feasible.
