ATL Optics — Warranty & Returns Policy

ATL Optics stands behind the quality of its optical transceivers, high-speed cables and interconnect solutions. Our products are tested to deliver reliable performance when installed and operated according to published specifications.

Warranty Coverage by Product Family

Optical Transceivers (Standard) — Limited Lifetime Warranty Standard ATL Optics transceivers — including 1G SFP, 10G SFP+, 25G SFP28, 40G QSFP+, and 100G QSFP28 — are covered by a limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser, provided that the products are used under normal operating conditions and within published specifications.

High-Speed Cables (DAC / AOC / AEC / Breakout) — 3-Year Limited Warranty ATL Optics DAC, AOC, AEC and breakout cables are covered by a 3-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Physical damage, excessive bending, connector damage or improper installation are not covered.

AI & Data Center Interconnects (400G / 800G / 1.6T) — 1 to 3-Year Limited Warranty For 400G, 800G, 1.6T, coherent optics and AI/data center interconnects, ATL Optics strongly recommends pre-deployment validation in the target platform. Return eligibility for project-specific or custom-coded high-speed products may be limited.

Industrial Modules — 5-Year Limited Warranty ATL Optics industrial-temperature modules are covered by a 5-year limited warranty when operated within the published environmental and electrical specifications. Damage caused by overvoltage, extreme humidity, corrosive environments, temperature operation outside specifications or defective third-party equipment is not covered.

WDM / CWDM / DWDM / Tunable / Coherent — 3-Year Limited Warranty ATL Optics WDM, CWDM, DWDM, tunable and coherent transceivers are covered by a 3-year limited warranty, subject to proper optical power levels, channel configuration and operating conditions.

PON Modules — 3-Year Limited Warranty ATL Optics PON modules are covered by a 3-year limited warranty. Compatibility with OLT, ONU or ONT platforms should be confirmed before deployment.

Specialty Optical Solutions (Fibre Channel / SDI / SONET/SDH / Converter) — 3-Year Limited Warranty ATL Optics specialty modules are covered by a 3-year limited warranty. Platform compatibility should be validated before large-scale deployment.

Testing & Tools — 1-Year Limited Warranty ATL Optics testing tools and diagnostic devices are covered by a 1-year limited warranty unless otherwise specified. Loopback modules are covered by a 3-year limited warranty.

What Is Covered

The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, electronic failures under normal use, DDM/DOM reading failures (where applicable), and coding failures when ATL Optics provided the correct coding profile.

What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover: physical damage, broken connectors, removed labels, altered serial numbers, ESD damage, moisture or water damage, operation outside the published temperature range, use with defective host equipment, dirty or damaged fiber, optical power outside the published range, incorrect installation, improper cable handling, unsupported firmware, overvoltage or power surges, products modified by third parties, or products purchased from unauthorized resellers.

Return Policy

Products purchased directly from ATL Optics may be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided they are unused, undamaged and returned in original packaging. Opened or installed products may be subject to inspection and restocking fees. Custom-coded, special-order or project-specific products are non-returnable unless defective.

Custom-coded products (Cisco-coded, HPE-coded, Juniper-coded, Arista-coded, NVIDIA/Mellanox-coded, etc.) are non-returnable unless confirmed defective by ATL Optics technical support.

RMA Process

  1. Contact ATL Optics at info@atloptics.com with your order number and product details
  2. Provide: Part Number, Serial Number, switch make and model, firmware version, error message or symptoms, and photos of the module
  3. ATL Optics will evaluate and issue an RMA authorization if applicable
  4. Ship the product with the RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the package
  5. ATL Optics will inspect and process: replacement, refund, re-coding, or commercial credit as applicable

Incompatibility Policy

If ATL Optics recommends an incorrect compatible product based on accurate information provided by the customer, ATL Optics will assist with replacement or an appropriate resolution at no additional cost.

Compatibility depends on switch model, firmware version, port configuration and coding profile. If incomplete or incorrect platform information is provided, ATL Optics will support product replacement when possible, but additional costs may apply.
